#999356 Pick 110: Dede Westbrook, WR, Okalhoma

It's all water under the bridge... ancient history. He's paid his dues.

His wife and the NFL gave him a clean slate,.. so should we.

Signed Avery Gennesy OT from Texas A&M

Good... I was hoping we'd get him.

He looks like a good swing guy capable of backing up at G or OT.

Dorian Johnson and Asiata woujld be fine OLs, but I'm thinking the top OL available is Pat Elfein.

#998322 Should we just draft nathan peterman in round 2..

The question now becomes, "Do we just draft Nathaniel Peterman in round four"?

I'm thinking we could have waited a round for Smoot. He fits out need well, but he was a reach.

I'm thinking Smoot is a strongside DE to rotate with Calais Campbell.

edit: Caldwell just confirmed as much.

I love it that the Texans of all teams got the QB without an NFL arm.

I'm thinking the Saints take Lattimore.

If it's qb, I'm now wondering if it's Mahomes or Trubisky.

#996228 Getting a Strange Feeling About Thursday...

Posted by Jags02 on 27 April 2017 - 05:20 PM

Regardless of your opinion of Watson.  Can we agree on this?  Maybe too many things to fix all at once.   To justify paying the man 18 mill.

It is silly to believe can fix footwork, decision making, Accuracy, Mental mistakes, and a repaired arm/shoulder all in one year.

I think he mechanical issues can be fixed, and that will improve his accuracy as well. Now the decision making and mental mistakes need to get worked out of his game.. I see him being a very smart qb, but it's just those occasional brain [BAD WORD REMOVED] that he needs to cut out.

That said, I'm really not worried about his game and believe he can turn it around and be a very good qb. Really my one and only concern is will his arm hold up every season for the entire season, and I just can't say that it will. The thought that maybe we make the playoffs, and then suddenly he can't throw, has me concerned. It's that one concern over all else that has me saying I won't be upset if we trade Bortles and look to move on. Again, I feel Bortles has "it" and has the potential to be as great as Ben Roethlisberger, but if I can't trust his arm will hold up then I have to consider my options.

I don't see Adams making it to #4.

#995910 If the Browns move up to take Trubisky.....

Posted by Jags02 on 26 April 2017 - 06:58 PM

I'd rather stay put and draft Solomon Thomas or Jamal Adams than lose value in a trade down.

#995523 Deshaun Watson seems to think jaguars take him at 4..

Posted by Jags02 on 25 April 2017 - 06:19 PM

Your hate for Watson is unreal.  The guy wins yet ya not convinced.   Ya want a guy with lack of experience.

I don't really want either, but if picking a qb in the top 10 I'm taking Trubisky easily over Watson. Trubisky may be raw, but his skill-set gives him a chance for success. That's far better than a guy with Tim Tebow's arm.

The day DRob and Chenne are no longer on this roster is the day I know we're actually making progress.

My favorite uniforms were the ones when they had the teal flakes in the helmets that would sparkle. Those were awesome.
