#996164 Trump is who I feared

Posted by rollerjag on 27 April 2017 - 02:51 PM

This is the reflexive empty response of the left we've come to have to deal with.

Thanks 0bama.

We get it.  "resist"

Pretend you aren't part of the worst of our country's problems.

The bed you've [BAD WORD REMOVED] and and are complaining about is the one you've made for all of us.

I return empty with empty. Your response to a depiction of our current POTUS with the same, tired "Obama was, too" is just as predictably reflexive .

Keep telling yourself you're onto something those you consider to be on the Left aren't, Pirk. The fact is what we see with Trump is what we've always seen, regardless of who preceded him.

As most understand, there's a difference between political rhetoric and actually governing.

As most understand, there's no difference between lying and what comes from Trump's mouth on a consistent basis.

We were told he is different, not a career politician, he'd drain the swap, lock her up, build the wall, make America great again. He wouldn't deal in rhetoric, but instead the cold, hard truth.

Turns out the cold, hard truth is he is what he's always been, a [BAD WORD REMOVED] artist.

That gate swings both ways.  Once you realize and accept that 3rd party options begin to make sense.

He was an idiot, but he was MY idiot.

O'Reilly's only contribution to society was as inspiration for The Colbert Report.

The sad thing is most of his sycophants will only view these latest developments as reason to be even more loyal to him.

This is the kind of thing a real leader does. It's something that would never happen with some liberal vermin in office.

Just one more reason America is becoming great again!

A "real leader" doesn't make a big deal out of a relatively minimal contribution. He does it quietly and goes about his business.

That is harsh given the choices for this past election.  Hillary or The Donald.  Even my party (Libertarian) flubbed this with Johnson when the opportunity was there to make a statement with a valid candidate.  Hillary was a known entity, politically corrupt to the core.  Trump offered a different direction much like Obama did 9 years ago.  Her own party turned away from her for an unknown entity.  Let's face it this past election offered to real choice for the common man.  Hopefully we can all come together and demand better from both major parties as well as from wanna be parties like mine.

There were better choices in the primary phase, but all but the most hardcore of Trumpettes convinced themselves what they saw with their very own eyes, heard with their very own ears, was not what it was. It was fake news, old recordings, misinterpreted/out of context quotes.

No. He is what we saw. Trump is a slug, always has been, always will be.

I'm not against refugees coming into the country. I'm against non vetted refugees coming into the country. Pretty big difference.

Syrian refugees are vetted, and it is no rubber stamp.

Do you have room at your house? Are you personally willing to open your home to a refugee?

Straw argument. Nobody is forced to accept refugees into their homes, and there are folks willing to accept them into their homes and communities.

#993607 Assad - Chemical attack

Posted by rollerjag on 09 April 2017 - 02:40 PM

Did the US target the runways? Or the buildings? Was it Assad or a false flag? Is our intelligence estimate correct, or is US intel that poor, or did they blame Assad while knowing it was the rebels?

There's a lot we don't know. Maybe the point was not to send a message to Assad, but to send a message to other countries that the US will not sit by passively any more. Having other leaders afraid that Trump's dangerous isn't all bad. It worked with Reagan and the hostages, it worked with Gaddafi. There are a lot of pundits saying that this puts pressure on China to straighten out North Korea before we nuke it.

In any case, Trump has made a statement that he's not in bed with Putin, and killed the Leftist media's most prominent lie.

Oh my, you bought it, too.

He's trying to enact the policies he ran on..

And failing miserably, mainly because they were bad policies.

Airbase up and functional again. 20 MIGs? Meh, Putin will gladly give Syria a discount on replacements.

Trump responds to critics who say he's in bed with Putin by bombing an airbase, where Putin's men had no idea a WMD attack was launched (wink, wink, nod, nod). No problem, they get a one hour heads up.

Before becoming POTUS, the Orange [pre-] Emperor was all a'Twitter about how Obama better be getting Congressional approval before retaliating for a chemical attack.

Twitter history can be saved. Who knew the internet could be so complicated?

Meanwhile, nuclear option invoked, we get Gorsuch for 30+ years and nobody notices. Republicans betting on keeping the Senate until Kennedy retires.

Wag the Dog.

#993467 LOL Corinne Brown

Posted by rollerjag on 06 April 2017 - 06:05 PM

When I worked for the City, the Duval delegation had an office at the old City Hall. i was exiting the back entrance one day while Rep. Brown was unloading something from the front seat of her Mercedes parked near the door. She was leaning in the front seat through the driver's door when the car suddenly went into reverse, dragging her into Newnan St before it crashed into a building. I rushed out to see her sitting in the middle of the road, dazed, wig twisted sideways on her head. After realizing she was ok, it very hard not to laugh at the sight.

The irony was the Mercedes was at the center of a scandal, where, IIRC, she was accused of using re-election campaign funds to purchase for her daughter.

What's remarkable, and notably unnoticed by Trumpettes, is Spicer's need for announcing Trump's contribution, as if it's really a big deal. The Donald is actually puffing his chest in pride over his largess.

The look on the face of the guy in the middle says it all.
